First, if you’re a writer or you live with one, you really need to print out PBW’s Ten Things About Writerly Concepts of Time. My personal favorite is her definition of NOW, as it applies to the writer:
Now: An expression of incredulous outrage a writer applies to any non-emergency request made of her in the middle of her writing time, i.e. You want me to do that now?
I printed out a copy for the husband. but he seemed less than appreciative.
