New York Times Bestseller List!!!

So I got the phone call last night from my agent and my editor that HOLD ON TIGHT hit the New York Times Bestseller List at #22!!!!!

I still can’t really believe it.  I mean, last night, I was hyperventilating and in a general state of, well, stunned.  Like, really and truly and I’m so absolutely thrilled and thankful and grateful to all the people who bought the books and talked them up and blogged them.  You guys are awesome!

Even better, I get to share the thrill with Larissa Ione – we released the same day and her book, Ecstacy Unveiled, hit the New York Times at #23 and the USA Today Bestseller List at #58 (she’s hit both lists before and she just keeps climbing higher – I’m so proud of her!)

Larissa and I have done a lot together – I mean, we write together as Sydney Croft.  But it’s more than that – we sold our own first project within three days of one another.  She hit the Times with her third single title.  I hit it with mine.  And we’re right next to each other.  And we have purple covers.  So it’s really strange and really cool at the same time.

Zoo had a work dinner last night – when he came home, he said, you’d have thought I hit the list – everyone was buying me shots and drinks and stuff!

For the record, I had a brownie for dinner.  I know – I’m actually pretty happy about that.  Chocolate for dinner – who can complain?

Today, I’ll be trying to keep my mind on my revisions – and you can read my interview over at the Black Raven Cafe – stop on by and say hello and you’re eligible for a backlist giveaway!

  1. Does that mean every author is now going to go with a purple cover? LOL
Seriously, congratulations. The series is so much fun. Ecstasy Unveiled is on my TBR pile as we speak. Can’t wait.

    • Thank you, Scorpio! It feels like a dream, I’ve got to tell you…a really good one :)

And YAY that the book & duckie got there safe and sound!

  3. Congratulations! Now you need to go out and buy something super expensive just for yourself so that you can remember this every time you look at it!

    • Brandy, I so believe in karma for sure….thank you – and I’m so thrilled for Larissa – she’s just so good and deserves this success!

  4. Congratulations – that’s cool news! I enjoyed the whole series and I’m looking forward to Lie with Me in November

  5. Congratulations. I have my copy right here, but I need to finish the first two books first (Since I belatedly ordered them all a couple of weeks ago.)

  6. Congratulations Stephanie! Such awesome news for both you and Larissa! I have H2H, 2H2H and HonT along with 2 Sydneys and Larissa’s EU in my TBR pile. Currently reading Unleashing the Storm. Right now I’m in ACRO/Demonica/Seal reading heaven.

    • Unleashing is probably my favorite out of the ACRO series…there was just something so special about writing that book – it was really easy, and that’s the only easy book I’ve ever had :) But Ender and Kira were just so perfect for one another…

  7. Congrats Steph
but I knew it – no surprise there.
I finshed Hard To Hold & loved it. Got the second one & I won the third one. Looking forward to them. You brought tears to my eyes. I’m so happy for you
    (and Larissa too).

    • Oh, Mary, please tell me the book I sent got to you okay (it was the 3rd, right?) Cause it def. should be to you by now…

And thank you SO much for the congrats :) I cried a lot on Wednesday night…all good, but still, very emotional…

  8. I actually just started reading this series last week, after I found both Nick and Chris’ books at the store. I bought Jake’s book from Amazon that night and I’ve been reading the series nonstop since I took him out of the mailbox. I really enjoy them and I love how you write. Congrats on making the NYT Bestseller List – you, and Larissa of course, are so deserving and I can only predict that this is your first of many placings.

I’ve wanted to be a writer myself since I was 14 and, while college leaves me very little time to write, I find your books to be very inspiring because a great story always triggers my own creativity. So, thank you!

    Congrats again!

    • Thanks so much, Tiffany – that’s such a huge compliment to me, because I know exactly what you mean. There are some books that just make me not only want to write, but have to write…

Keep finding the time to write :) It’s worth it in the end – I can attest to that, no matter how hard it is at times. It’s the best job that, most of the time, doesn’t feel like a job at all…

  9. Congratulations from Collegeville, PA!!!!!!! Wonderful news. I’m very proud of having a relative who made the NY Times Best Seller List. Way to go, Stephanie.

  10. A HUGE congratulations to you and your partner both. Good people deserve good things. You must be great people then! :) Most well deserved and inspiring! There’s only more from here. :) (Bonnie’s sister)

  11. I meant to get over here sooner – but life has been interrupting my fun. Congratulations :)
I am so excited for you and the guys :)
However I wonder how much the Lore/Chris interview helped :)

  12. Hey guys i want to share with you a way i make $500 every day and i only spend 15 minutes doing it a day! Anyone can do it, you dont NEED to have a website. I strongly suggest you check their site out as there is a brilliant video that explains each thing you need to know. Check them out at Mobile Monopoly. That’s the name of the System and i suggest should you own a website that you at-least go and take a peak, you wont regret it…
