I always thought it was “Saturday, here in the park…” Hey, it was closer than what you thought it was.
My mom used to think the BeeGee’s song “More Than a Woman” was “Bald Headed Woman.”
I still think it’s Saturday, me and my pa and everyone else has it wrong…
And Mary – OMG – I’ll never listen to that song the same way again! I’ve mentioned here before that my mom thinks Boston’s, Let Me Take You Home Tonight is Let Me Take You Home To Die…
The one I remember was actually a friend of mine in grade school. She thought “Time keeps on slippin slippin slippin into the future” was “I keep on slippin slippin slippin into the kitchen.”
I know I have a bunch of wrong ones but I can’t think of a single one of my own right now.
When I was a little kid I used to sing the hymn “Bringing in the Sheaves” as “bringing in the SHEETS”.
When I was a kid I sang this song all the time and totally butchered the lyrics.
